A voodoo doll was on my chest and mom had her hands over the doll, chanting some strange words. I screamed and sat up from my bed. “What’re you doing, mommy?”“Sit still, child. Otherwise, the magic won’t work.”The voodoo doll was creeping me out so I grabbed it and threw it across the room. Mom gasped and raised her hand as if to slap me.“You foolish girl!
